Ever dreamed of commanding your very own stellar fleet? Your prayers are answered!
Remember those good old days of our childhood, when we dreamed of space crafts, big shiny space crafts, gunning its engine in space and navigating the stars? Remember those countless hours during our summer breaks, when space tech enthusiasts would endlessly orchestrate imaginary stellar wars, epic fleet battles among the stars, filling the void silence of space with reverberating BOOMS from the impact of plasma, and energy weapons? Those my friends, were the good old days. You think they’re gone now? Think again my fellow star travelers!
Presenting the game HOMEWORLD 2! Developed by Relic Entertainment and released in 2003 by now defunct publisher Sierra Entertainment, Homeworld 2 is a real-time strategy computer game sequel to Homeworld. It takes place after the events in Homeworld and concerns Hiigara’s response to a new enemy called the Vaygr. Its gameplay that takes a new direction with the enhancement of its graphics and audio. In contrast to the closely equivalent Kushan and Taiidan forces of the original game, Vaygr and Hiigaran ships differ significantly in design and application. If you love commanding star cruisers of your very own fleet, then this game is yours! The graphics are rich, refined, and refreshing. The storyline’s depth is as mysterious as the center of this galaxy, its gameplay as captivating as a nebula cloud.
Many have overlooked this sweet sweet sweeeeeeet sweeeeeeter than caramel candy of a game title. Here’s a video of the gameplay for one of the missions in the game. Happy space faring my friends!

A.K.A. how to prove you aren’t as smart as you think you are o_o
Intro: Professor Layton and his apprentice Luke are summoned to a far off little village by the widow of a rich man. The deceased rich man has left his entire fortune to one person. The problem is, that one person is anyone who can find a “Golden Apple” he hid somewhere in the village. More curious is the fact that the entire village is obsessed with…puzzles. As Layton and Luke search deeper and deeper into this case, more mysteries about the village and it’s inhabitants appear. Can you help Professor Layton and Luke solve this puzzle?
Naturally, this was your first puzzle
Gameplay: Touch, tap, drag and draw with the stylus to move around the village, look for hidden items and solve puzzles. It’s pretty easy to learn but some of the puzzles will have you scratching your head before you facepalm because you realize the solution really IS that simple >< Trust me, the game has a few easy puzzles here and there but there are also some that will make you want to throw your DS in front of a train going North at 115 mph that left the station 20 mins before another train going South at 125 mph which means they’ll meet in…OH FORGET IT!!!!! Luckily, there are things called “Hint Coins” that you can find all around the village that unlock up to 3 hints per puzzle to help you if you’re really stumped. There are a total of 135 puzzles to solve in the game along with mini puzzles/activities to do along the way like finding scraps of a torn painting and reassembling them, collecting “strange gizmos” and more. Each puzzle ranges in difficulty according to the number of “Picarats” you can earn from solving it. “Picarats” are like your score throughout the game. Once you complete the game, depending on the number of Picarats you have, you can unlock bonus content.
Yeah! Remember THIS kind of puzzle?
A-HA! You're not smarter than me!!!
Rating: This rating is out of 5 stars (5 being super duper spiffy). If I decided to give it a rating that is equal to the number of screens in a NDS plus the number of letters in the last word of the game title minus the number of screenshots in this review, how many stars has this game acquired (yes, I really did just do that)?

I wish I could attest to the 3D functionality without the glasses, but I could only rely on the word of people who experienced it. And the word has been amazing! I guess it’s one of those things I’ll have to wait and see for myself.
I’m sure you heard by now that Square Enix has announced a couple of awesome games for 2011. If you haven’t, let me be the first to tell you!
Final Fantasy Agito XIII has changed its name to Final Fantasy Type Zero for PSP.
For the 3DS, Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance.
And whaaat? A sequel for FFXIII? Final Fantasy XIII-2 announced!
I wish I had trailers to show you, but Square Enix enforced their copyright issues, so now nobody can show the trailers. Even the gameplay trailer for Final Fantasy Versus XIII is down. =( Instead here is one image dominating the blogging atmosphere:
Ahhh, did she kill a cuckoo?? Check it out though, looks like Lightning gets a new manly wardrobe! ^_^ All we know so far is that Lightning will be back with a couple of new characters and that they took into account the criticisms on the first one. I may be one of the few people who enjoyed FFXIII, (It sold 6 million copies!) so this will definitely be on my wish list.
Hopefully you can see this trailer for Kingdom Hearts 3DS:
It’s actually going to tie into the upcoming Kingdom Hearts 3 and new Disney worlds to explore like the Hunchback of Notre Dame!
